Joe Masciarelli of JM Products Inc. has always enjoyed building and creating things, and is a big believer in the idea of “paying it forward.” So when he began looking for his next project car, “I wanted to combine both passions to be able to really make a difference,” he says. This desire manifested itself as the opportunity to build a Factory Five 818, which is to be raffled off for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. “Fortunately, I have lived a healthy, happy life and this is a way for me to be able to use the skills I have to give back to the community,” he adds. The 818 raffle car will be his third Factory Five build, the other two being a Factory Five Mark II Cobra and a GTM.

This project started life as a frame and fiberglass body panels, which will be mated to components from a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX donor car with about 68,000 miles on its 227hp, turbo 2.0L flat four. The raffle 818 will look very similar to the car in Factory Five’s show car shown here (with a new soft top option), as it will have a metallic red paint job and those menacing blacked-out wheels. Whoever wins this car is promised nothing less than a beautiful performance machine that will turn heads everywhere. Estimated value is $25,000.

Raffle tickets will be sold for $20 each, and the car is scheduled to be awarded Factory Five Open House on June 14, 2014. More information on the raffle will be posted here:
