SEMA ’19 Script

Posted January 14, 2020

It's all in the details... There are thousands of cars at the SEMA Show and every good car has a plethora of finer points that make it awesome. Whether it's a fantastic font on the badge of a classic or a creative spin on a current OEM decal, these details are what take a build to the next level.

I'll admit that my tastes in this realm are generally vintage, but there were several contemporary details that stuck out to me. How about that sinister spin on the Jeep "Trail Rated" badge, switching it to "Hell Crated?" Or the gnarly looking Borla exhaust on a new Ford GT?

Moving onto classics, we spotted this interesting German text on the vent of a 550 Spyder replica. As it would were, Luftgekühlt is a gathering for early air-cooled Porsches in the Los Angeles area started by two-time Le Mans winner Patrick Long. Our crew was also all about this classic Diamond T truck built into a full-scale tube-frame race truck. I don't think my coworkers shared my fascination with the various vintage Dodge Chargers I spotted at the show however.

Anyway, I hope you find a few of these details to be as visually pleasing as I did.
